The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued a strict warning to prospective corps members regarding the submission of fraudulent academic certificates. The organization emphasized that applicants found using fake documents would face immediate disqualification, legal prosecution, and possible imprisonment.

NYSC Director-General Brigadier General Hassan Kila stated that verification procedures for submitted certificates will be stringent, and no leniency will be given to applicants attempting to bypass verification. The NYSC reinforced that eligibility and authenticity of academic qualifications are central to the integrity of the national service program.
