Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has declared an end to the era of running the state with consultants, emphasizing that his administration is building a self-sustaining economy.
Speaking at his 100-day anniversary event in Benin City, he announced that Edo’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) had hit ₦10 billion—the highest in the state’s history—thanks to prudent financial management and cutting wasteful expenses.
Okpebholo also highlighted key achievements, including stricter laws against cultism and kidnapping, free malaria treatment for two years, and soft loans to support small businesses.
APC leaders, including Adams Oshiomhole and National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, hailed his leadership, describing him as an “action governor” who is delivering real results.
