Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has vowed to rid the state of criminals, promising to deploy all necessary resources to maintain security.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting in Akure, Aiyedatiwa said, “We will not allow Ondo State to become a haven for criminals. While we welcome law-abiding citizens, we will not tolerate those using our forests for illegal activities like kidnapping.”
He urged traditional rulers and residents to report suspicious movements and assured that security agencies would take swift action. “If you see something, say something,” he emphasized.
The governor also announced plans to strengthen surveillance and meet with security officials to sustain Ondo’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s safest states.
