Members of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly have been confirmed as recipients of recognition at the upcoming 2025 Papyrus Magazine State Houses of Assembly Awards (PAMSHAA), with organisers unveiling the state’s lineup of awardees ahead of the ceremony.
The third edition of the awards is scheduled for Saturday, August 30, 2025 in Abuja. The event will celebrate excellence in legislative service, constituency engagement, and leadership across Nigeria’s state assemblies.
In Bayelsa, Speaker 




leads the recipients with two major honours — The Masses Most Loved House Member, massively voted by PASAN Bayelsa branch members, and Best Performing Speaker in the South-South Zone, a recognition of his strong leadership, bills championed, and efforts in driving collaboration and development within the region.
Deputy Speaker Hon. Ogbere P. Michael will be honoured as Best Member with Private Member Bill Sponsored, while Hon. (Dr) Charles Daniel, representing Brass I Constituency, will be recognised both as Best Member with Private Member Bill Sponsored and Member with Most Impactful Motions.
Hon. Mitin Living Ebibaekebena (Ekeremor II) also emerges under Most Impactful Motions, while Hon. Ebizi Brown (Sagbama III) is recipient of Best Performing Member in Constituency Outreach in recognition of his direct engagement with the grassroots.
Other recipients include Hon. Tare Porri Esq. (Ekeremor), recognised as Most Vocal/Eloquent Member on the Floor of the House; the House Standing Committee on Works and Infrastructure, will be honoured as the Most Effective/Productive Committee; and Rt. Hon. Monday-Bubou Edwin Obolo (Ph.D), Chairman of the Finance and Appropriation Committee, will take home the Most Effective/Productive Committee Chairman for his leadership in budget management and fiscal accountability.
According to PAMSHAA convener Hon. Chief Doofan Justin Damsa, the recognition process is based on performance evaluation aimed at inspiring legislators to deepen their impact. The event will also feature a special edition of Papyrus Magazine, profiling honourees and offering colleagues, associates, and families an opportunity to celebrate their contributions.
