The organisers of the Papyrus Magazine State Houses of Assembly Awards (PAMSHAA) have officially announced the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Hon. Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, fsi, as the Chairlady of the Occasion for the 2025 edition of the prestigious awards.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 30th August, 2025.
In a remarkable show of commitment, Hon.Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, fsi had to adjust her international engagements to personally celebrate with Nigerian State Legislators, whom she described as “playing a vital role in deepening democracy and governance at the grassroots.”
According to the Minister, “the State Legislators have been doing an amazing job at the state level, and supporting them by encouraging them face to face and presenting awards to them is the biggest way to show Mr. President’s appreciation of their contribution to the growth of democracy in Nigeria and, by extension, the African continent.”
The presence of the Honourable Minister as Chairlady is seen as a strong endorsement of the relevance of state lawmakers in national development, as well as a recognition of their efforts in driving legislative impact across constituencies.
The 2025 PAMSHAA is expected to gather distinguished lawmakers, stakeholders, and dignitaries from across the country for a night of honour, recognition, and celebration of excellence in legislative service.
