PROJECT DELIVERY TAKES CENTER STAGE AT JULY STATE DELIVERY MEETING

The July edition of the Akwa Ibom State Government’s Monthly Delivery Advisory Meeting opened with a renewed focus on speeding up project completion and enhancing accountability across sectors. Speaking at the session, Governor Umo Eno emphasized the urgency of delivering results under the ARISE Agenda.
“We have no time to waste. The change we seek begins with us, and we must move fast without excuses,” he declared, urging all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to approach their duties with professionalism, urgency, and transparency.
The meeting, attended by members of the State Executive Council, delivery advisors, political stakeholders, and senior citizens, reviewed progress on twenty-six key projects. These included infrastructure initiatives such as the Itam Industrial Park, the Ibom Convention Centre, the expansion of Ibom Hotels in Uyo, Lagos, and Abuja, the House of Assembly Complex rehabilitation, and the AkwaGIS House project.
Sectoral updates also featured developments in aviation infrastructure, including ten airport-linked projects, the Ibom Towers, Ewet Luxury Estate, Ibom Paints, and the Dakkada Oil Palm Initiative. In security, reports were presented on the Command Centre, Correctional Centre, and Police Counter-Terrorism Base, while the health sector saw updates on the Ibom International Hospital, Mother and Child Hospital, and general hospitals across Ibiono Ibom and Ukanafun.
Governor Eno reiterated that delivery timelines would be rigorously tracked, and performance metrics strictly enforced to ensure measurable outcomes for the people.
