Prophet Abel Boma, founder of ATB Foundation and a controversial cleric based in Port Harcourt, has issued a fiery message defending Judy Austin, the second wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie. In a viral Instagram video, Boma claimed that God revealed to him a wave of hypocrisy surrounding public attacks on Judy, declaring that it was time Nigerians stopped judging her.
“The Lord said let her be,” he announced. “Many of you condemning her are worse. You sleep with married men, destroy homes, and judge others while hiding your own sins.” Boma’s message directly addressed critics of Judy Austin, who has been embroiled in public backlash since her union with Edochie became public, effectively ending his marriage with his first wife, May Edochie.
Fans of May, known as the “May Nation,” have not taken kindly to the prophet’s statements. His comments triggered a flood of angry reactions online, with many accusing him of being tone-deaf and misrepresenting divine messages. Others asked why God would be so concerned with Judy Austin’s marital status while crises like the Benue killings, unemployment, and corruption persist unchecked in Nigeria.
