The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged Nigerians to reject activist and politician Omoyele Sowore in light of recent allegations he made against President Bola Tinubu and Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara (Wike). In a statement, the party described Sowore’s claims as unfounded, politically motivated, and damaging to national unity.
The APC insisted that Sowore should provide substantiated evidence for his allegations or retract them publicly. The party warned that spreading unverified claims could stoke tension and undermine public trust in government.
Rivers APC further asked its supporters and the general public to be cautious of what they accept as fact in media statements and to hold public figures accountable for their words.
The call adds to the ongoing controversies surrounding political discourse and social media accusations in Nigeria’s volatile environment.
