Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has been re-elected for a second term following a decisive victory in the state’s gubernatorial election held on Saturday November 8th.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the results after a peaceful voting process across the state, with Soludo securing a wide margin over his closest rivals from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor’s re-election was largely attributed to his reforms in education, infrastructure development, and fiscal management, which earned him broad support across local government areas.
In his post-election address, Soludo thanked the people of Anambra for their continued confidence and pledged to accelerate his administration’s development agenda, focusing on job creation, industrial growth, and security.
Observers from local and international organisations commended the conduct of the poll, describing it as largely free and credible.
