President Bola Tinubu has made fresh appointments to key educational agencies, naming new leaders for the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) and the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).
Among the appointments are:
• Dr. Mohammed Mohammed Aminu – NABTEB Registrar/CEO. A PhD holder in Automobile Technology, he previously served as Director of Procurement at NASENI.
• Idris Olorunnimbe – Chairman, UBEC Board. A leader in education and youth development, he is also Group CEO of The Temple Company.
• Rasaq Olajuwon – Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical), UBEC. Formerly Director of Administration and HR at LASIMRA.
• Tunde Ajibulu – Deputy Executive Secretary (Services), UBEC. A Fellow of NIPSS with expertise in construction and consultancy.
Tinubu urged the appointees to focus on reforming education and vocational skills development to drive national growth. Their tenure is expected to bring innovation and transformation to Nigeria’s education sector.
