Arewa Summit International leader Dr. Bashir Lamido has dismissed the possibility of President Bola Tinubu losing re-election in 2027, citing the strong political figures backing his administration.
Lamido pointed to the support of Abdul’aziz Yari, Orji Uzor Kalu, Abdullahi Ganduje, and James Ibori, arguing that their influence will weaken the opposition’s chances. He questioned the ability of opposition parties, particularly the PDP and Labour Party, to form a united front, given their internal divisions.
He also suggested that Tinubu has strategically solidified relationships with key allies, preventing any major defection threats. However, Lamido acknowledged that the president’s economic policies are causing hardship for Nigerians, though he argued that they are necessary for long-term stability.
