TINUBU HOLD CLOSED-DOOR TALKS WITH SIERRA LEONE’S PRESIDENT

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is holding a meeting behind closed doors with Sierra Leone’s President, Julius Maada Bio, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The high-level discussions, attended by only a select few government officials, signal a renewed effort to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between both nations.
President Bio arrived at 12:30 p.m., on Monday 3rd of March, receiving a ceremonial welcome from the Presidential Guards Brigade before being ushered in by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila. Although the agenda remains undisclosed, sources suggest the talks center on regional cooperation, security, and economic partnerships.
Nigeria has historically played a crucial role in Sierra Leone’s stability, particularly through peacekeeping missions and economic collaborations. With both countries holding strategic positions in ECOWAS and the African Union, expectations are high that the meeting will yield agreements beneficial to West Africa’s economic and security landscape.
