President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday October 28th received Anders Holch Povlsen, Denmark’s richest man and CEO of the fashion group Bestseller, at the State House, Abuja, in a closed-door meeting aimed at strengthening economic ties and attracting investment.
Povlsen, accompanied by the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria and other officials, held talks with the President and key ministers, including the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, and the Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
The Bestseller Foundation, which supports social and environmental initiatives in communities linked to Bestseller’s value chain, is expected to explore partnerships in Nigeria under the meeting’s agenda. The engagement was announced via the official X handle of Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Observers view the visit as part of Tinubu’s broader push to attract foreign direct investment and deepen bilateral cooperation with European partners, particularly in innovation and sustainable development sectors.
