TINUBU RETURNS FROM VATICAN AFTER HISTORIC PAPAL INAUGURATION ATTENDANCE
President Bola Tinubu arrived in Abuja on May 20th Tuesday evening from a significant diplomatic visit to Vatican City, where he attended the inauguration of Pope Leo XIV as the 267th Roman Pontiff.
Landing at 6:50 p.m. at the Presidential Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Tinubu was received by key officials including SGF Senator George Akume, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and APC Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.
During the visit, Tinubu held talks with Vatican officials, affirming Nigeria’s commitment to interfaith harmony. He also met Nigerian Catholic bishops led by Archbishop Lucius Ugorji. The trip marks a milestone in religious diplomacy under Tinubu’s tenure.
