TINUBU SWEARS IN NASC CHAIRMAN, COMMISSIONERS AND PERMANENT SECRETARIES

President Bola Tinubu on Monday May 5th swore in Dr. Saviour Enyiekere as Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC), along with 12 commissioners and two newly appointed federal permanent secretaries. The ceremony was held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, during an expanded Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Dr. Enyiekere, a former deputy chief of staff to the Senate President and environmental expert, will serve a renewable five-year term. The commissioners, drawn from Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, include Suleiman Hunkuyi, Yusuf Tabuka, Aminu Malle, Lawan Mahmud, Mark Tersoo, Salihu Balogun, Taiwo Oluga, Afeez Ipeza-Balogun, Nnanna Uzor Kalu, Festus Odii, Patrick Giwa, and Mary Ekpenyong.
Also sworn in were two permanent secretaries: Mr. Rafiu Adeladan from Oyo State and Dr. Muktar Mohammed from Jigawa State.
The event was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and other top officials. A minute of silence was observed in honour of former minister of state for foreign affairs, Dubem Onyia, who died in March.
