Nollywood actor Yul Edochie continues to make headlines as his family has reportedly distanced themselves from his decision to marry actress Judy Austin as his second wife. The development, which has stirred significant controversy in both Nollywood circles and among fans of the actor, has now drawn public comments from his brothers, Uche and Linc Edochie.
Uche Edochie, Yul’s elder brother, revealed that Yul’s first wife, May, never consented to polygamy at the time of their marriage and that the family had strongly advised Yul against pursuing a second marriage. According to him, Yul’s choice has caused emotional strain on May and created tension within the household. He also expressed worry about how the actor’s children might be affected in the long term by the public drama surrounding their father.
Similarly, another brother, Linc Edochie, clarified that he had no role in the bride price payment for Judy Austin and wanted his name completely removed from the saga. He stressed that his personal values and position as a family man do not align with Yul’s choices, and he urged the public not to associate him or the larger Edochie family with decisions they do not support.
