ZAMFARA ADMINISTRATION LAUNCHES INTEGRATED SECURITY RESPONSE TO TERROR THREATS

Zamfara State Government, acting under Secretary to the State Government Abubakar Nakwada and Deputy Governor Malam Mummuni, has convened a multi-stakeholder strategy session aimed at tackling enduring security threats. The gathering included senior officials and security experts who analyzed the state’s evolving security challenges and agreed on ten tactical interventions.
These strategies aim to improve intelligence sharing, strengthen joint task force operations, and reinforce community policing mechanisms across the state’s rural and urban areas. Nakwada emphasized the importance of combining top-down coordination with grassroots feedback to outmaneuver criminal networks increasingly active across the region.
Deputy Governor Mummuni commended participants’ urgency and attentiveness, urging rapid implementation to stabilize the state. The meeting signals a more coordinated and proactive phase in Zamfara’s security governance, following years of criminal violence that disrupted education, agriculture, and commerce across the region.
