EFCC RAID NATIONAL HAJJ COMMISSION OFFICE

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) raided the headquarters of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) in Abuja on Tuesday 4th February amid fraud allegations.

Arriving around 11 a.m., EFCC operatives reportedly took the commission’s spokesperson, Fatimah Usara, and three other staff members into custody.

Sources reveal the arrests are part of an investigation into the alleged embezzlement of funds, following a previous raid by the ICPC over claims of mishandling ₦90 billion allocated for the 2024 Hajj.

EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed that further updates would be provided as investigations continue.
