NASARAWA GOVERNOR LAUNCH’s ₦2BILLION LUXURY ESTATE TO BOOST STATE ASSETS

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to leaving behind valuable assets that will generate long-term revenue for the state. During a groundbreaking ceremony in Abuja, he launched the construction of a ₦2 billion luxury estate on the site of the abandoned Deputy Governor’s Lodge.

The development, awarded to private developer Optiview Realty, forms part of a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative aimed at enhancing the state’s financial standing. Governor Sule emphasized the importance of owning tangible assets.

Rather than selling the land, the governor explained that the estate development would ensure Nasarawa State retains ownership while benefiting from the investment.

The estate, which will consist of 13 terrace blocks, is being developed with an ₦800 million equity contribution from Nasarawa State, covering the land’s value. The remaining ₦1.2 billion for construction will be funded by Optiview Realty. Additionally, the project is expected to create economic opportunities, particularly for youths in Doma Local Government Area, where the developer is based.

Governor Sule also noted that the property was at risk of being lost due to unpaid tenement rates and missing documentation but assured that all necessary approvals and ownership documents have now been secured.

“This project signals to investors that Nasarawa State is open for business and ready to take on new opportunities for growth,” the governor remark.
