Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has vowed to act decisively on revelations of mismanagement and corruption uncovered by the recently concluded Assets Verification Committee.
The committee, led by Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, presented a damning report highlighting massive financial obligations, mismanaged resources, and corruption involving unclear ownership of government assets.
“This report marks a turning point for accountability and transparency in Edo State,” Dr. Umakhihe stated, recommending that certain contracts be reviewed and offenders prosecuted.
Governor Okpebholo assured the public that all recommendations would be thoroughly implemented. “We are determined to chart a path of integrity and prudence in governance,” he affirmed.
