Okpebholo Builds New Roads connects Edo Central

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development by linking more communities in Edo Central Senatorial District with quality roads.

During an inspection of the ongoing 36-kilometre Utako-Unewa-Eworah-Uromi Road, Okpebholo assured residents of high-quality construction work that would transform their daily lives and fulfill one of his major campaign promises.

The governor, accompanied by key government officials, was met with gratitude and prayers from community members who expressed appreciation for the long-awaited development. He also visited the Anko Road and Udomi Primary School, both at advanced stages of completion.

“You can see the joy on the faces of the people. We are happy that those we serve appreciate our efforts, and we will do more to develop this area and other parts of Edo State,” Okpebholo stated.

The road, once completed, will link eight communities and boost economic growth in the region. A resident, Larha Fanel, lamented that the previous administration neglected the area, while Madam Alice Ojeifoh expressed excitement that the road would finally open up their communities for economic activities.

Contractor Michael Rezk disclosed that the road project, set for completion in two years, includes concrete drainage systems, stone-base reinforcement, and asphalting.
