Governor Umo Eno has reiterated his administration’s commitment to maintaining Akwa Ibom’s status as Nigeria’s cleanest state while advancing its tourism potential.
Leading the February environmental sanitation exercise in Uyo, Governor Eno expressed satisfaction with the level of public participation.
He visited the newly renovated Mbiaobong Etoi Motor Park and commended Uyo Local Government Chairman, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo, for prioritizing urban cleanliness and development.
“Our people are naturally clean, and we must sustain this standard. Akwa Ibom has won the Cleanest State Award six times, and we intend to keep it that way,” he said.
The Governor also praised the beautification of the Itam Junction flyover, noting that the artistic enhancements align with his vision for a more attractive and eco-friendly state capital.
