Residents Applaud Gov. Eno’s Flood Intervention Project

Residents of Tabernacle Road, Afaha Ube, and surrounding areas in Uyo and Itu LGAs have commended Governor Umo Eno for the ongoing flood intervention project.

Following the reopening of the Calabar-Itu Highway, affected residents, traders, and motorists expressed relief, hailing the project as a major solution to years of hardship caused by flooding.

Governor Eno had earlier flagged off the construction of the 2.2km Tabernacle Road with a 0.97km underground drainage system, a crucial de-flooding initiative aimed at reclaiming the area.

Traders at Etaha Itam Market also lauded the Governor for ongoing internal road projects and the construction of a modern trailer park, solar-powered toilets, and boreholes, describing him as a “promise keeper.”
