EFFCC Warns Public as Fraudsters Use Commission’s Name for TikTok Scam

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has raised alarm over fraudulent activities on TikTok, where scammers operated six fake accounts using the Commission’s logo to deceive unsuspecting individuals.

According to the EFCC, the fraudsters held a live session on Thursday, February 27, using account names such as “EFCC of Nigeria,” “EFCC Lagos,” “EFCC Delta,” “EFCC of Benin,” “EFCC of Jos,” and “EFCC Saga.”

The Commission clarified that it does not have an official TikTok account and urged the public to disregard any accounts claiming to represent EFCC on the platform.
