The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has intensified its infrastructure drive, commissioning new projects across the region.
At an event attended by Minister of Niger Delta Development, Abubakar Momoh, and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, the NDDC reaffirmed its commitment to transforming the region. Dr. Sam Ogbueku, the NDDC Managing Director, announced that projects would be commissioned weekly until July 2025 in celebration of the commission’s 25th anniversary.
The projects span roads, education, healthcare, electricity, and water supply, aligning with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda. Governor Uzodimma praised the NDDC’s efforts, particularly the 7.6km Eziama-Abba-Owere Nkworji Road and the Light-Up Project, which has enhanced security in Imo State.
