OVER 100 KILLED IN FRESH ATTACK ON BENUE COMMUNITY

Suspected herdsmen launched a deadly attack on Yelewata community in Benue State, killing at least 107 people in a dawn raid on Saturday. The attack, which occurred in Guma Local Government Area, resulted in the destruction of homes and left many residents injured or displaced.
Eyewitness accounts from local leaders confirmed that dozens of charred corpses were recovered, and the casualty count was still rising. Among the dead were women, children, and elderly residents. There were also reports of security personnel killed in the violence.
