The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has made a shocking allegation against the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, accusing him of having an affair with his former wife and casting doubt on the paternity of a child.
The allegation, which has caused a stir in traditional and social circles, resurfaced during a heated discussion on the fallout of past relationships and royal disputes. Oba Akanbi claimed that the Ooni’s alleged conduct caused personal pain and also raised sensitive questions of betrayal within the Yoruba traditional institution.
