Former Senate leader and lawmaker representing Borno South, Ali Ndume, has lauded the Nigerian Army for its operation that led to the rescue of the 12 abducted teenage girls, describing the mission as a display of professionalism and patriotism.

He commended the troops’ resilience and swift action despite the difficult operational environment in the North East, calling their success a “landmark military exercise.”

Ndume also urged the Federal Government to prioritise adequate funding for the military, improve logistical support and review personnel remuneration to sustain morale and effectiveness.
