Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has commended the Chairman of Ibeno Local Government Area, Hon. (Mrs.) Glory Ekah Effiong, for what he described as exceptional leadership and remarkable developmental strides recorded within her first year in office.
In a letter of commendation to the council boss, Governor Eno praised Mrs. Effiong’s achievements, describing them as a reflection of the ideals of the ARISE Agenda, which emphasizes compassion, inclusivity, and sustainable grassroots development.
The Governor particularly lauded the commissioning of a fully equipped Model Primary Health Centre named after the First Lady, Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Umo Eno, as well as an Arise Compassionate Home constructed for a widow in Okoroutip, Ibeno. He said the projects symbolize leadership built on empathy and service to humanity.
“I have watched with deep satisfaction the developmental strides you have achieved in the course of the last one year since your inauguration. The people of Ibeno have correspondingly reposed their confidence in your leadership,” Governor Eno wrote.
To further support her humanitarian efforts, the Governor announced free medical insurance coverage for 200 residents of Ibeno Local Government Area, to be selected by the council chairman under the state’s health insurance scheme.
“You have shown by your actions that you are fully invested in the ideals of the ARISE Agenda,” Governor Eno stated. “To further support your efforts, we will enroll 200 people from Ibeno under our free medical insurance programme.”
He concluded his message by congratulating Mrs. Effiong and expressing confidence that her leadership would continue to strengthen the social and developmental fabric of the local government area.
