Governor Umo Eno’s commitment to building a new generation of globally competitive entrepreneurs received another major boost as the Ibom Leadership and Entrepreneurial Development Centre (Ibom-LED) graduated an additional 500 participants from its Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme (EAP).
The graduation and certificate presentation ceremony took place on Thursday, November 28, 2025, at the Ibom-LED Centre, formerly the State e-Library complex, IBB Avenue, Uyo.
Addressing the graduates, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entrepreneurial Development and General Manager of Ibom-LED, Mr. Ime Uwah, said the programme fully sponsored by Governor Eno is designed to build a durable and opportunity-rich entrepreneurial system capable of driving innovation, productivity, and job creation across the State.
Mr. Uwah emphasized that the three-month programme exposed trainees to rigorous sessions of business development, financial literacy, leadership, market strategy, discipline, and mindset restructuring elements he described as indispensable for scale and sustainability.
He noted that with each graduating batch, the Governor’s vision of nurturing a stable pipeline of homegrown entrepreneurs continues to take firm root, positioning Akwa Ibom as a hub for enterprise, digital innovation, and economic resilience.
The event also featured a presentation of cash prizes to winners of the EAP Pitch Competition 2025, as well as goodwill messages from participants who applauded Governor Eno for investing heavily in entrepreneurial capacity-building rather than token empowerment.
