Eno Nkereuwem Ikoedem has been named the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Edo State Police Command making history as the first woman to hold the spokesperson role in the command’s history.
The appointment, approved by the Kayode Egbetokun-led leadership of the Nigeria Police Force, was communicated via an official statement by the command’s Administrative Officer.
ASP Ikoedem, who previously served as Deputy PRO under two different public relations officers, is a graduate of the Nigeria Police Academy, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
Her career profile includes a variety of operational and administrative roles across multiple police divisions in Edo demonstrating “versatility, discipline, and professionalism,” as described by the command.
The command urged members of the public looking for official information or support to rely on the formal communication channels under her watch, a step viewed by many as a sign of improved transparency and engagement between the police and Edo residents.
