In a strategic move to enhance security operations across the country, the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has redeployed 38 Commissioners of Police (CPs) to various state commands and police formations.
Among the newly assigned state CPs are Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba (Zamfara), Bretet Emmanuel Simon (Taraba), Christopher Ado Emmanuel (Yobe), Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin (Cross River), and Adamu Abdullahi Elleman (Niger). Others include Sani Omolori Aliyu (Bauchi), Bello Shehu (Katsina), Saka Adewale Ajao (FCT), and Ojo Adekimi (Kwara).
According to Force Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi, the deployment aligns with the IGP’s vision of intelligence-led policing and community-driven security strategies.
The 29 other CPs assigned to police formations will focus on tackling specific security challenges nationwide. The IGP has urged all newly posted officers to prioritize professionalism, intelligence gathering, and proactive crime prevention.
