Governor Umo Eno has charged youths in Akwa Ibom to be consistent, innovative, and resilient in their careers if they want to make a global impact.
Speaking at “Okon and Friends Live in Concert” hosted by Nollywood actor and comedian, Ime Bishop Umoh, popularly known as Okon Lagos, the Governor praised the comedian’s 25-year career, describing his perseverance as exemplary.
“Young people today abandon careers too quickly. Consistency is the key to lasting success,” the Governor said, while announcing plans to establish a creative village for Akwa Ibom youths to develop their talents.
Okon Lagos, in turn, appreciated the Governor for attending the event, noting it was a rare show of humility. He also presented a posthumous award to late First Lady Pastor Patience Umo Eno, received on her behalf by her daughter, Lady Helen Obareki.
The star-studded concert featured comedians including Funny Bone, Dan D’Humourous, MC Pashun, and others, and was attended by top government officials, political leaders, and fun-seekers across the state.
