AKWA IBOM STATE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION announces oral INTERVIEWS for RECRUITMENT EXERCISE

The Akwa Ibom State Government has announced the commencement of oral interviews for candidates who successfully passed the Computer Based Test (CBT) examination in the ongoing civil service recruitment exercise.

The Civil Service Commission confirmed that the interviews will begin on Monday, January 26, 2026, and will be held at the Akwa Ibom State Civil Service Commission office located within the Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat, Uyo. The interview sessions are scheduled to run daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until the process is concluded.

The recruitment exercise, which is part of the state’s broader strategy to strengthen public service delivery, is expected to fill numerous vacancies across multiple departments. The Commission stated that the process is designed to ensure that only qualified candidates are selected for positions based on merit and competency.

The announcement clarified that interviews will commence with the health sector, reflecting the government’s urgent need to address staffing gaps in healthcare services across the state. The health sector interviews will run first before the Commission proceeds with other departments.

In addition, the Commission disclosed that interviews for secondary and technical education will run concurrently, indicating the government’s focus on strengthening the education sector. This approach is expected to speed up the recruitment process while ensuring that the state’s educational institutions are staffed with competent personnel ahead of the new academic session.

The recruitment process has been structured to uphold transparency and fairness. Only candidates who successfully passed the CBT examination and received official invitations are expected to attend the oral interview sessions. This measure aims to prevent unauthorized participation and maintain the integrity of the recruitment exercise.

Candidates have been advised to arrive on time and ensure they present themselves with proper documentation. The Commission emphasized that candidates must bring original copies of their credentials, including academic certificates, professional qualifications, and identification documents.
