Bola Tinubu has approved the allocation of land in Abuja to Nigerian ambassadors and high commissioner-designates.

Bola-TinubuThe Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, disclosed this while receiving the envoys during a courtesy visit led by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dunoma Ahmed.

According to Wike, the President approved the gesture to ensure that Nigeria’s diplomats have a permanent residence in Abuja whenever they return home for official briefings and assignments.

He said application forms for the land allocation would be made available immediately to all eligible ambassador-designates.

Wike also stated that President Tinubu’s international engagements are focused on attracting foreign investment and improving confidence in Nigeria’s economy.

He urged the diplomats to support that effort by promoting Nigeria as a credible destination for investment, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, and waste management.

The minister highlighted the economic potential of communities such as Gwagwalada and Kwali, noting that both areas have strong agricultural opportunities that remain largely untapped.

Wike further revealed plans for strategic partnerships with Saudi Arabia and Egypt, alongside ongoing engagement with the European Commission to strengthen development cooperation.
