Gov Eno signs N695 Billion 2025 Supplementary Budget into Law

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has signed into law a ₦695 billion supplementary budget for the 2025 fiscal year, following its swift passage by the State House of Assembly.

The signing ceremony, held at Government House Banquet Hall, Uyo, coincided with a meeting of the Delivery Advisory Team, where the Governor emphasized that the budget will accelerate the implementation of key development projects across sectors.

Governor Eno commended the legislature for its cooperation and assured citizens that every kobo will be spent judiciously to drive infrastructure, education, and healthcare improvements.

“The 2024 budget performed impressively; now we must exceed that success. This supplementary budget gives us room to expand development and ensure value for every expenditure,” he said.

The Speaker of the Akwa Ibom House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Udeme Otong, described the meeting as an innovation that strengthens collaboration between the Executive and Legislature.

Also speaking, Senator Effiong Bob and Elder Aniekan Akpan of the PDP praised the Governor for his people-oriented leadership and developmental strides.

Projects highlighted during the meeting included the Ibom International Hospital, Tree Crop Development Programme, ARISE Senior Citizens Centre, Oron Ferry Terminal, Itam Industrial Park, and several general hospitals across the State.
