Kwara Governor receives 23 Freed Abductees, declares Kidnappers have no place in Kwara

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has welcomed 23 citizens recently freed from captivity, stating that kidnappers and criminal elements have no place in the state.

The freed individuals were handed over to government authorities after negotiation and security operations. Governor AbdulRazaq hosted a reception at the Government House where he promised enhanced security measures to prevent further abductions.

He urged communities to cooperate with security agencies, share intelligence, and support surveillance efforts. The governor also announced welfare support and rehabilitation plans for the rescued victims.

Security officials in attendance reaffirmed commitment to locating and prosecuting those involved in kidnap rings. The governor used the occasion to reassure citizens that government will continue to invest in crime prevention, patrols and community policing to keep galleries of criminals at bay.
