More than 1,000 young people across Edo State have attended a one‑day Career Clinic organised by Jobberman Nigeria in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. The event, held in Benin City on November 23, 2025, was designed to offer training, networking, and guidance to job seekers, entrepreneurs, and early‑career professionals.
Delivered under the theme “Your Career Compass: Gain Clarity in Work and Business,” the clinic featured sessions on personal branding, interview etiquette, entrepreneurship development, and digital customer engagement led by industry experts and former participants with success stories.
Attendees described the event as a turning point, many citing renewed confidence and clarity about their next steps whether seeking employment or launching business ventures. One beneficiary, a recent university graduate and accessories business owner, said the sessions helped her see possibilities she previously thought were out of reach.
Representatives of the state’s skills‑development agency commended the initiative, noting its importance in filling gaps left by traditional education and creating real pathways to employment. They expressed hope that such events would become routine and more inclusive, especially for vulnerable youth and persons with disabilities.
