Dr. Terris Damsa, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency, has expressed profound gratitude to party delegates and supporters in Sankera following his decisive victory in the party’s House of Representatives primary election in Benue State.
In a statement of appreciation, Dr. Damsa described the outcome of the primary as a clear demonstration of confidence in his leadership and vision. He secured 53 out of 73 votes cast, representing 72.6 percent, in what he noted was one of the most keenly contested primaries in the state.
The PDP flagbearer said he was deeply humbled by the overwhelming support and pledged to justify the trust reposed in him. He emphasized that his candidacy represents a collective aspiration for effective representation, inclusive development, and renewed hope for the people of the constituency.
Dr. Damsa outlined his commitment to bridging the gap between the people and the dividends of democracy, promising to run an issue-based campaign anchored on his “Damsa Agenda,” which he said is focused on delivering tangible results and responsive leadership.
Extending an olive branch to fellow aspirants and party stakeholders, he called for unity within the party ahead of the general election, stressing that the primary contest was only a step toward a larger goal of securing victory for the PDP and advancing development across the constituency.
