Global Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed his interest in taking on a modest film role, saying he would like to portray a taxi driver in a future movie project. The statement, which caught fans and industry insiders by surprise, offers a glimpse into the singer’s ongoing expansion beyond music into film and storytelling.
Entertainment insiders view the comment as a sign that Davido is exploring creative opportunities to diversify his artistic identity. His background in performing arts and his recent ventures into film production suggest that his interest is more than casual.
Davido’s growing influence across entertainment sectors continues to position him as a cross-media figure capable of bridging music, cinema, and youth culture. If realized, the role would likely attract massive attention and redefine celebrity participation in Nigeria’s evolving Nollywood-music crossover industry.
