The escalating dispute between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her husband Senator Ned Nwoko has taken another turn as her kinsmen from Otuocha in Aniocha North, Delta State, reportedly issued an open letter demanding the return of her bride price.
The move follows a wave of social-media revelations from Daniels and her family, including her public declaration of separation and removal of Nwoko’s images from her platforms. The kinsmen’s intervention signals a formal recognition of the breakdown of the marriage, marking a serious cultural step in Igbo tradition.
Community representatives stated that the call was made to preserve family dignity and protect Daniels from what they described as ongoing humiliation and public scandal. The open letter reportedly demanded that the senator’s family engage in the customary process of refunding the bride price as a symbolic closure to the union.
