Renowned international economist and youth leader, Dr. Raymond Edoh, has congratulated Major General Waidi Shaibu on his appointment as Chief of Army Staff (COAS) by President Bola Tinubu, describing it as “a reward for discipline, competence, and patriotism.”
In a personally signed statement, Edoh commended the President for choosing a capable hand to lead the Nigerian Army, describing the move as “a visionary and merit-driven decision that reflects the President’s faith in excellence.”
“Major General Shaibu’s appointment mirrors President Tinubu’s belief in merit and integrity,” Edoh said. “His professionalism and dedication to Nigeria’s unity and defence make him an exemplary leader.”
He expressed confidence that the new Army Chief would uphold loyalty, human rights, and constitutional order, ensuring that the Army remains a stabilising force for democracy.
Edoh also reaffirmed support for President Tinubu’s ongoing security reforms and urged citizens to cooperate with the military to achieve peace and stability. “The new Army Chief has the full confidence of Nigerians. We must all rally behind him to secure our nation,” he concluded.
