Governor Umo Eno on Monday 3rd November paid an unscheduled inspection visit to the Ibom Icon Hotel & Golf Resort, assessing the pace of ongoing renovation works ahead of the December festive season.
Accompanied by members of the State Executive Council, including the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, and the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Anietie Udofia, the Governor was conducted around the facility by the Managing Director, Sir Charles Udoh, and the CEO of Hensek Integrated Services, Engr. Uwem Okoko.
Governor Eno directed contractors to expedite the project to ensure completion before Christmas, noting that the hotel’s Marina axis would serve as a major venue for upcoming Yuletide activities.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to reviving tourism infrastructure and positioning Akwa Ibom as a preferred destination for leisure and business.
