Tragedy struck a political aide’s family in Kaduna State when armed gunmen shot dead 33-year-old Kefas Habila Averik, the brother of Rachel Averik, a special assistant on Political Affairs to the Kaduna State Governor. The incident occurred on Tuesday, 30th December according to Kaduna State police sources.
Preliminary reports indicate that unidentified assailants opened fire on Averik at his residence, leaving him fatally wounded. The motive for the killing remains unclear, and security officials have launched an investigation to determine whether the attack was politically motivated or connected to criminal activity.
