Nigeria’s contingent at the CISM 2025 Military Sports Science event in the United Arab Emirates recorded noteworthy performances and technical contributions, according to the Nigerian military sports delegation. Team Nigeria participated across several sporting disciplines and also engaged in workshops focusing on sports science, athlete conditioning and injury prevention specifically tailored for military athletes.
Officials said the delegation’s successes reflected improved training methods and deeper integration of sports science into military athletics programmes. Nigerian coaches and sports scientists reportedly presented papers and exchanged technical knowledge with counterparts from other countries, opening doors for future collaborations and capacity building.
Delegation leaders stressed the value of such international engagements in raising Nigeria’s military sports profile and improving the standard of training for servicemen and women who compete in regional and global military sporting events.
