NTIC Students To Fly Nigeria’s Flag In China, Lithuania

Students of the Nigerian Tulip International Colleges have recorded another remarkable academic achievement after emerging top winners at the final stage of the National Mathematical Centre Olympiad competitions.

The students secured first positions in both the Biology and Mathematics categories, further strengthening the school’s reputation for academic excellence and international competitiveness.

Among the outstanding performers, Muhammad Maina Yahaya emerged winner of the Biology Olympiad, while Oghenetejiri Esemitodje claimed the overall best position in the Mathematics Olympiad after an impressive performance against contestants from across the country.

Their victories have now earned them the honour of representing Nigeria at two prestigious global academic competitions later this year.

Oghenetejiri Esemitodje is set to represent the country at the 67th International Mathematical Olympiad scheduled to take place in Shanghai, China, while Muhammad Maina Yahaya will participate in the International Biology Olympiad 2026 in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The management of NTIC described the achievement as a proud moment not only for the institution but also for Nigeria’s education sector. School officials praised the students for their hard work, discipline, resilience, and dedication to academic excellence, noting that the success reflects the quality of preparation and mentorship provided within the institution.

According to the school, the students’ performances demonstrate the immense potential of young Nigerians to compete favourably with their peers on the global stage when given the right support and learning environment.

Parents, teachers, and well-wishers have also congratulated the students, expressing confidence in their ability to make the country proud at the international competitions.

Many described the achievement as an inspiration to other young scholars across Nigeria to pursue excellence in science, mathematics, and innovation.

Education stakeholders say international Olympiads provide opportunities for students to showcase intellectual ability, exchange ideas with participants from different countries, and strengthen global academic collaboration.
