Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress following the party’s nationwide presidential primaries.
In a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Governor Radda described Tinubu’s victory as a strong endorsement of his leadership style and the Renewed Hope Agenda being pursued by the current administration.
According to the governor, the outcome of the APC primaries reflected the confidence of party delegates and supporters in President Tinubu’s ability to continue steering the country’s affairs and consolidating ongoing reforms.
Radda stated that the president’s emergence was not unexpected, describing it as a clear expression of support from party members across the country.
He noted that Katsina State played a significant role in the exercise, revealing that the state delivered 467,003 votes for the president during the primaries. The governor attributed the figure to the dedication, discipline, and loyalty of APC members throughout the state.
The governor praised party supporters in Katsina for what he called their overwhelming turnout and unwavering commitment to the APC, saying their participation demonstrated strong confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and vision for the country.
He further reaffirmed Katsina State’s support for the president’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections, pledging that the state would remain one of the strongest support bases of the ruling party.
Governor Radda also commended the national leadership of the APC for organising what he described as a peaceful, transparent, and credible presidential primary election. He said the conduct of the exercise reflected the party’s democratic maturity and internal stability.
The governor urged APC members nationwide to remain united and focused as preparations intensify for the 2027 elections. He called on party faithful to sustain the momentum generated by the primaries and work collectively toward securing victory for the APC at all levels.
Political observers say endorsements from influential governors and strong voter mobilisation within key northern states could play a major role in shaping the political landscape ahead of the next general elections.
