The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Magdalene Ajani.
Tunji-Ojo commended Nigerian workers for their dedication and contributions to national development, describing their role as vital to the country’s growth and prosperity. He urged workers to remain patriotic, committed, and productive in their respective duties to support sustainable development.
The minister reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to improving workers’ welfare and ensuring their security, while also fostering an enabling environment for economic progress.
He further called on Nigerians to remain peaceful and law-abiding, encouraging them to use the occasion to reflect on the importance of unity, diligence, and collective responsibility in nation-building.
