President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Dr Ike Neliaku, President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, on his re-election to the Board of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management for another two-year term.
Dr Neliaku was returned to the board during the organisation’s Annual General Meeting held in Prague, Czech Republic, following a closely contested election involving communication leaders from across member nations.
In a statement by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described the victory as a strong global endorsement of Neliaku’s leadership, professionalism, and contributions to advancing ethical standards in public relations and communication management.
The President noted that the achievement reflects Nigeria’s rising influence in global communication affairs and highlights the credibility of Nigerian professionals on the international stage.
He praised Neliaku’s continued commitment to transparency, innovation, and capacity building within the profession, adding that his renewed mandate would further deepen collaboration among communication experts worldwide.
President Tinubu also reaffirmed the Federal Government’s support for initiatives that promote Nigeria’s image abroad and strengthen the country’s presence in global professional bodies.
He expressed confidence that Dr Neliaku’s continued service on the board will enhance international partnerships and support the development of modern communication practices across regions.
