The management of the National Youth Service Corps has announced Thursday, May 21, 2026, as the official passing-out date for members of the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II corps nationwide.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the scheme, Caroline Embu, who disclosed that activities marking the winding down of the service year commenced on Tuesday, May 5.

According to the NYSC, the pre-passing-out activities include Job Advisory and Counselling sessions organised in partnership with relevant agencies to prepare corps members for life after national service. The programme is expected to focus on career development, entrepreneurship, employability skills, and opportunities for self-reliance.

The scheme also stated that corps members would undergo final clearance procedures supervised by Zonal Inspectors before receiving their Certificates of National Service.

NYSC explained that the passing-out exercise would be conducted on a low-key basis across all local government areas in the country, where certificates would be distributed directly to qualified corps members.

The Director-General of the NYSC, Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated the outgoing corps members for successfully completing their mandatory national service year.

He urged them to remain disciplined, patriotic, and committed to the ideals of national unity, integrity, and selfless service which the NYSC scheme represents.

The NYSC boss also encouraged the corps members to apply the skills, experiences, and lessons acquired during their service year toward national development and personal growth.

The passing-out ceremony marks the successful completion of the one-year mandatory national service programme established to promote national integration and expose Nigerian graduates to different cultures and communities across the country.

Thousands of corps members deployed across Nigeria under the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II are expected to participate in the exercise, concluding another service cycle under the scheme.
